Assalam! How do i complete my salat when i miss a part of it?

WSWRWB, it is always better to consult your local imam regarding these.
btw,
always seat (go to qada) to read tahhiyat ( "attahiyatu lillahi ..... ") after every two rakat.
2 -> +1 .means if you join second rakah, simply offer a single rakah after imam offers salam.
3 -> +2 . means if you join in third rakah, offer two extra rakah without qada in between them. if you join in third rakah of maghrib,then +1+1, i.e. offer one rakah, go to qada, and again offer another rakah. ( ask your local imam what he says rgarding joining in third rakah of maghrib).
4 -> +1+2 . ie if you join in fourth rakah, offer extra rakah, go to qada, offer two rakah agin, go to qada and complete salat.
and never join late in a jum'a salat.
