I am tracing the Leser family for a memoir.

Does anyone have info on a man named Itche Leser,
who was murdered in 1941 in a pogrom along with Rabbi Ben Zion Halberstam?

Thank you!

Hi,

I am related to the same Leser family. My maternal grandmother hails from the Galician Leser family that was related to the Itche Leser in question. Do you have any more specifics? Which Leser family are you researching, from witch town? Are you a descendent from that family?

Thanks so much for your kind response!

I am a writer specializing in Holocaust Memoirs.
My current client is Ben Lesser (nee: Leser).
He founded the Zachor Foundation--
www.zachorfoundation.com

His family lived in Krakow and Munkacs.
The father, Lazer Leser, owned
a successful chocolate factory.

A brother, Moishe and sister, Lola, were instrumental
in saving the Bobover Rabbi and his family from the liquidation of the Bochnia Ghetto.

All of this Leser family were lost in the Holocaust except a for Ben and Lola, both of whom are currently living and working on memoirs.

Sister Lola Leser Lieber's beautiful book,
There Will Be a World After This,"
was recently published and available online.

The Leser connection with protecting Rabbis in both towns is intersting. We are trying to figure out how/if they are cousins, and if so, what might have happened to Itche's descendents.

Any info you might be able to share would be greatly appreciated! Please feel free to contact me at:
