This is a house of mirrors. What we are talking about is a continious machine.I only have one example of this is our Universe. On a smaller scale is our sun and that will run down. Think about it, a motor running ( how ?? ) to power a generator to expel more energy than to run the motor ? Look ! I have nothing up my sleeves. We have been trying for years to create a sun in a lab on a small scale and no luck.

My explanation about how solar system behaves like an atom in time travel forum may fit explanation why there is no luck for what you've tried.

I agree with micky finn, with one caveat it is possible to design a motor which will run a generator but it is not a perpetual motion machine and relies on offsetting balance with an outside force. You would not connect it back in a loop and doing so would lead to either your equipment burning out or maybe worse.
