I just received a postal uniform suit coat type jacket that mt uncle wore sometime around the 40's-60's. It was made by the Maier Lavaty uniform company in Chicago (they seem to be out of business now. The buttons have a guy walking, holding a letter, and with the letters POD. This jacket is of heavy, high quality material. Does anyone know when he might of worn this and a history of them? I don't know if I want to sell this jacket, give it to someone for sentimental reasons or something else. I don't want anyone to wear it as a Halloween costume. I could send pictures. Thank you,
