Yeah, i believe that is one of the greatest sin of mankind.

what about this : knowledge. the greatest sin is ever made by human is knowledge. why i think so? it's because when I read the bible about Adam and Eve, there is discussed about a fruit that should not be eaten, that is the fruit of knowledge. I always wondered, why is only the fruit that's all that should not be eaten, and I finally concluded that the gods fear the power of the fruit. afraid that if people eat the fruit, eventually people will know all the secrets of the gods
But from this conclusion, I also wonder: if god was so afraid of the fruit, why the fruit is not destroyed by god?. why the fruit was put there? is there any possibility that the god really want to tempt Adam and Eve? if that so, then god doesnt trust human.

oh, i feel confused about this. if there is someone who can explain this, please answer it

I believe you are conflating two belief systems that are diametrically opposed to one another. You cannot interpert biblical ideas using other sources that are more about legends and myths. The bible is a complilation of inspired documents and should not be thought of as man made legends or invented stories about God and mythical ideas.
Are you aware that Jesus is your savior? I think all you questions can be answered by putting you faith and trust in Him. Once you do this then all your misunderstandings and questionings with melt away. Simply ask God to forgive you of all your sins and commit your life to him. Find a church that teaches the bible and join in on all the wisdom that will be yours for the asking.
Sincerly, Mike

God intended man to have knowladge. God never tempts for his own knowladge and understanding of how we will act, but for us to understand ourselfs.... imadgen the girl of your dreams trying to tempt you by being with another man in front of you. In this case she wants too see if you will kick the guys ass for her... but lets say she already knew that you whould kick his ass... maybe she whould do what shes doing to show you how much you love her... i hope this helps and im only comparing God to a beautiful girl because it was the first idea that poped into my head. The fruit of the tree of knowlage was ment for man thats why God did not take its blessings away after man ate the fruit.
God trusts humanity because he LOVES it for God sent his only son into the world. Emagin taking your son or wife or bestfriend or girlfriend or boyfriend (i am unaware of wether you are a guy or girl) and placing them in a situation that tey will die in for your children. It take alot of love.

Your premise, "God intended man to have knowledge", precludes the possibility that god does not exist. I personally am open to the possibility of god's existence, once enough evidence and sound reasoning is presented. As correctly stated in this discussion before, unless a definition for sin has been established, its magnitude cannot be judged. Since I do not, for the purposes of this discussion, believe in god, I do not have a definition of sin. There are things I might consider right, or wrong, but that is almost entirely a subjective consideration. There are those who believe that there is a universal right/wrong, but they're pretty much projecting their subjective knowledge and deduction of right and wrong.

Unbelief.

Hebrews 3:12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;

Hebrews 3:18-19 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

And in Revelation when it is told of all things becoming new. Revelation 21:6 - 8 He said to me: "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

If you have belief in God - a true belief, you will confess your sins to God, and accept the need for the sacrifice that Jesus made for you on the cross.

You've misquoted the Bible passage. Depending upon the Canon/translation, Genesis 2:16-17. The 'tree of the knowledge of good and evil' condemns man as he acts knowingly in contradiction to God's ruleset - reflecting the processes intended for the universe we occupy.

"Knowledge" was not forbidden, but to act in opposition to God was forbidden. When man places himself at the center of everything, he contradicts God - who IS the center of everything as its creator.

I'm sorry but I'm going to keep on reminding those who are reading this, that man's greatest sin is unbelief. David had a Jew killed to cover up his sin and take Bathsheba for his wife. And the Bible tells us that David was a man after Gods own heart. Why because when we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. We become a new creation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Read for yourself Revelation 21 to help you understand this passage. 21:7-8 - He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the UNBELIEVING, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Man's greatest sin is his inhumanity to his fellow man. You don't need a book to tell you that. Educate yourself with some actual history, or just look around with unbiased and unprejudiced eyes at the state of the world today.

You can have morality without religion. Part of the reason for Man's inhumanity to his fellow man is precisely BECAUSE of the violent quarrels between religions, whatever faith you belong to. Blind faith and dogma are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Simply quoting the Bible and telling people to read it will not make everything OK. That is NOT human nature. At best that attitude is narrow and naive, at worst it is an example of precisely that type of ignorance that divides people and causes antagonism and hostility.

There can be no understanding with such rigid and inflexible mindsets.

Think and believe my way or you burn in Hell? That is not a recipe for a better world. Sorcery? Seriously? This is not the Europe of the Middle Ages.

SUICIDE. That's man's greatest sin. There is no more stupid
sin than to end oneself's life. All hopes of a change are gone forever.
