The most devastating consequence for many was that they could no longer travel to the West. Families were split apart, and Easterners who worked in the West lost their jobs.

While West Berliners including West Berlin Major Willy Brandt protested the Wall, powers such as the US stated that they accepted the presence of the Wall and would do nothing to remove it by force.

Hi,

My name is Matt Blair, Im contacting you on behalf of 2002 studios, a
music production company from London. We are currently working on the
sound for an art exhibition on the Berlin Wall. We are trying to
reinforce the visual aspects of the display through audio that will
constantly be quietly played in the background.

As well as the musical elements of the audio we would also like some
spoken word from interviews of people that actually experienced this
part of history.

I cant tell exactly where your from however as you have such a great interest on the Berlin Wall I was hoping that you would maybe know of some people in London that would like to talk about there experiences on this subject.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

All the Best,

Matt
