I'm working on a new invention for refrigerator air purifyer. The concept is to circulate refrigerator air through a chamber of UVC light to kill bacteria and molds, then through a filter of zinc oxide pellets to neutralize ethylene gas given off by fresh fruits and vegetables. This process was invented by NASA trying to find ways to extend the life of fresh fruits and vegetables. They ended up using titanium oxide instead of zonc oxide. Are you aware of any publication that describes the action between zinc oxide and ethylene gas?
