material and sometimes included a few tracks from The New Power Generation's recently released Goldnigga
album. The second half was a greatest hits selection, as well as some rarely played B-sides
such as "Irresistible Bitch" and "She's always In My Hair". This would be Prince's final tour before he would change his stage name to his unpronounceable symbol.
The lineup of The New Power Generation was nearly the same as the Diamonds and Pearls Tour, though vocalist Rosie Gaines
decided to leave, unhappy that a promised solo album never materialized. She was replaced by Morris Hayes, who would be a staple in Prince's band for years to come. Prince also nixed dancers Diamonds and Pearl (since they seemed solely for promotion of the previous album). Dancer Mayte was the focus of the Love Symbol album and would play a much larger part in the stage show.
