company. The 12th century Kamen castle lies just outside the village and the 15th century Katzenstein mansion, rebuilt in the late 17th century, at the centre of the village. The Katzenstein mansion was used by the gestapo

and a museum dedicated to hostages, victimes of the gestapo, is arranged in part of the building. The mansion house also houses a psychiatric hospital
