Daniel 'Dani' Mallo Castro (born 25 January 1979 in Cambre
, Galicia) is a Spanish
footballer who plays for Girona FC
in the Spanish second division
, as a goalkeeper.
The better part of his senior career was played at Deportivo de La Coruña
, where he served almost exclusively as third-choice in the first team.

Released by Deportivo, he joined Portugal
's Sporting Clube de Braga in 2006–07. Because of injury to first-choice Paulo Santos, Mallo played the first half of 2007–08, also appearing in the Portuguese
and UEFA Cups.
In mid-January 2009, after having spent the first months of the new footballing campaign training separately, Mallo joined Falkirk FC
, until the end of the 2008–09 season. He played in the 2009 Scottish Cup Final
, also helping the side to the semifinals in the domestic League Cup
, and a final maintenance in the Scottish Premier League
. Despite these achievements, he did not sign a new contract and left the club on June 27, stating he needed to move on.
