Emery Kay Hunt (born November 13, 1937 in Blanding, Utah
) is an Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Utah
.
Hunt received his Ph.D. at the University of Utah. He has taught at five universities. He taught at the University of California, Riverside
from 1969 to 1978, then returned to the University of Utah where he has taught until now.
Hunt's father was Emery Rulond Hunt (1914–1994) and his mother was Minerva Kartchner (b. 1917). Hunt has one brother and four sisters.
