The Gujarati Comedy Group was founded in 2003 by Rajendra Brahmbhatt

 and won the "Best Newcomer Award" in 2005. The group is also a member of Mainstream Partnership an organization in the United Kingdom that has the goal of helping artists from Black and Minority Ethnic communities.
