Kumara Rama is a revered as a central figure in the history of Karnataka
State prior to the establishment of the Vijayanagar Empire. Kumara Rama was the son of the King Kampila Raya of Kummata Durga or Hosamaledurga. Kummata Durga is a small town in Gangavati taluk of KOppal district of Karnataka.
