in 1959 as a third division team, won promotion to division two in 1960 and won the League Cup
in 1962. He later coached at Bristol Rovers, Aldershot

and was assistant manager at Luton Town
before moving to live in the United States
. He was an assistan coach for the Detroit Express
for the 1978 NASL season. He was named head coach of the Minnesota Kicks
on December 14, 1978. He coached the team for the 1979 NASL season and first nine games of the 1980 NASL season.
He lives in Tallahassee, Florida and coaches youth soccer now.
