Skilled Occupation List is a list of occupation
s which are currently acceptable for immigration to Australia

etc. and there are points allocated to each profession which could be used for migration assessment purposes. Depending on the demand of occupation in Australian Labor Market and the training
level required for the occupation, the points can range from 40–60.
A person selecting occupation from the list must have his or her qualification
assessed by an authorised agency before becoming eligible to use the occupation points.
