. It is located south-east of the city center, bordered by Gangsåstoppen and Åsby to the west, Kanebogen

The south-eastern part of Stangnes is a large industrial area, Stangnesbasen, which was built in the 1980s to provide for those involved in the oil industry in the Barents Sea
