, the Charrúa population declined at the hands of local authorities, being practically exterminated by 1830. The last four known Charrúas, including Vaimaca, Senaque, Guyunusa and Tacuabé, were taken to Paris, France by François Curel in 1833, to be displayed as circus attractions.

Guyunusa and Vaimaca gave birth to a daughter few months after they were taken. Vaimaca, Senaque and Guyunusa died during the first year in France. Tacuabé and the baby's trails disappears after reaching the city of Lyon
