. Approximately 330 students attend The Peck School. The curriculum includes communication arts, drama, English, library studies, math, music, physical education, reading, science, history/social studies, technology, themes/family life, visual arts, woodworking, and world languages. In addition, The Peck School InDeCoRe (Individual Development and Community Responsibility) Program teaches character development and life skills and traits.
Peck has two divisions, the Upper School (Grades 5-8) and the Lower School (Grades K-4). Extracurricular activities include The Linden (Yearbook), ImPeckable News (student newspaper), Student Council, Youth Council, Green Team, InDeCoRe Club, Chorus, Kindergarten Helpers, Steel Pan Band, and a number of Community Service activities. There is also an AfterSchool Enrichment Program.
The Peck Athletic program emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and responsibility. Students compete inter-scholastically in grades 5-8 in a number of Fall, Winter, and Spring sports. Peck is known to have one of the most competitive private-school sports programs in the area.

John Kowalik is the current Headmaster, Matt Sigrist is the Upper School Director, Nina Sharma is the Lower School Director. Erin Ceder is the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, Victor Taylor is the Interim Director of Curriculum and Faculty Development, and Don Diebold is the Director of Sports and Physical Education.
The Peck School has a number of traditions, including Downy-Redhead Day and an all-school tug-of-war, a Talent show, a Christmas (Holiday) Sing, Grandfriends' Day, a Science Expo, a Lower School literary Arts magazine (Spectrum), outdoor education, and a number of recurring community service activities in the local area.
In 1993, The Peck School completed the Deetjen Kindergarten Building. In 1995, the Caspersen-Tomlinson Academic Building was completed, followed by the F.M. Kirby Lower School in 1998. In 2006 the 35,000 square foot Eckhert Huff Building was completed followed by the Athletic Center in 2007.
Notable headmasters include Mr. Lorraine T. Peck (1917–1944), Mr. Philip S. Hesseltine (1946–1954), and Mr. Rudy Deetjen (1977–1994). The current headmaster is John J. Kowalik (July 2003).
Peck's sports are boys soccer, field hockey, cross country, boys and girls basketball, volleyball, ice hockey, boys and girls lacrosse, softball and baseball.
The Peck Boys Soccer Team during the 2006-2007 season was ranked # 1 in Morris County.
The Peck Boys basketball team during the 2007-2008 season was ranked # 1 in Morris County.
The Peck Boys basketball team in the 2008-2009 season was undefeated, and won the Harding School Tournament.
The Peck Girls Field Hockey team won the 2008 Morris County Tournament, and finished the season undefeated.
The Peck Girls Field Hockey team won the 2009 Morris County Tournament.
The Peck Boys 2011 Lacrosse team is currently undefeated with a record of 7-0, with big wins over Pingry and Delbarton.

History
The Peck School originally started on Franklin Street as Miss Sutphen's School for Young Ladies in 1893, with six original students. Lorraine T. Peck purchased the school late in 1917. In 1920, the school moved to Elm Street, and then into its current location on South Street, in Lindenwold Mansion and surrounding acres.In 1993, The Peck School completed the Deetjen Kindergarten Building. In 1995, the Caspersen-Tomlinson Academic Building was completed, followed by the F.M. Kirby Lower School in 1998. In 2006 the 35,000 square foot Eckhert Huff Building was completed followed by the Athletic Center in 2007.

Sports
Peck School students compete on interscholastic sports teams from grades 5-8.
