Blood Kiss by D. E. Athkins
The story revolves around Elizabeth, a high school girl. She has a crush on the new boy is class, Ken. Ken is extremely handsome (much like the Ken doll), and is rumored to be a vampire. He dates various girls at school, including Elizabeth' friends Delia and Valerie. Each of the girls he dates turn up at school the next day visibly upset and not wanting to talk about the date. Elizabeth's crush on Ken seems to grow day by day. One day, she finally works up the courage, and walks up to his locker. She introduces herself to him, "Hi, I'm Elizabeth. Not Liz, not Beth, just Elizabeth". Intrigued Ken replies, "Hi, Just-Elizabeth" Ken later during the conversation, asks her out. During the date, Ken nibbles her on the back of her neck. Realizing that Ken is not a vampire, Elizabeth confronts him, asking whether all the vampire rumors were just a ploy to draw girls towards him. Ken replies stating that all the girls he dated wanted to date the vampire, but everyone withdrew when he became serious. Elizabeth replies that she is not like the other girls, and leans towards Ken prompting him to bite (which Ken does). They then share a kiss, which becomes the title of the story - Blood Kiss

"The Spell" by R.L. Stine concerns a teen girl and her boyfriend William who suddenly becomes interested in hypnotism. William's intentions, from the start, are mysteriously grave and become increasingly threatening as the story progresses. Will the girl be able to stop William from hypnotizing their friends, Stan and Erica, from killing Marty? Or will she be rendered powerless by William's horrifying hypnotic suggestions?
