type formerly operating on the Tōyō Rapid Railway, an extension of the Tokyo Metro Tōzai Line
. A total of twelve 10-car sets were converted in 1995 from former Tōkyō Metro 5000 series
sets. The fleet was retired from service in December 2006, replaced by the Tōyō Rapid 2000 series
.
The last three sets to be withdrawn (1060, 1080, 1090) were sold to Indonesia
in 2006 and 2007, where they now operate on suburban services in the Jakarta
area.
