The 80 feet (24.4 m) by 155 feet (47.2 m) brick structure was built in 1928-29 with two-story office blocks to either side of the prominent entrance block, backed by the gymnasium. The entrance is designated by fluted Corinthian
pilasters framing punched window openings. The building is designated for its role as the venue for Churchill's speech before an audience of 2800.
