Founded by EMLYON Business School (www.em-lyon.com), KPMG France (www.kpmg.fr), Singaporean institutions Action Committee for Entrepreneurship (www.ace.sg), and Nanyang Technological University (www.ntu.edu.sg), the World Entrepreneurship Forum is the first global think-tank dedicated to entrepreneurs, creators of wealth and social justice. 110 members of over 55 different countries meet annually to tackle our world’s most pressing issues with entrepreneurial solutions.
Entrepreneur for the World:Award on November 19 during the 2009 edition of the World
Entrepreneurship Forum, which took place in Lyon France, from 18 to 21 November.
The Entrepreneur for the World Award is being granted annually by the World Entrepreneurship
Forum to four international personalities (an entrepreneur, a social entrepreneur, an academic
expert, and a politician) to highlight their remarkable entrepreneurial success and their commitment
to the society. The Awardees are Bert Twaalfhoven, Fazle Hasan Abed, Kazuo Inamori, and Mary Robinson.
The award winners for 2010 are :
Mr. Liu Chuan-Zhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lenovo Group; Ms. Ela R. Bhatt, co-founder of Self-Employed Women’s Association, Ms. Christine Lagarde, French Minister for Economy, Industry and Employment; and Dr. Howard H. Stevenson, Sarofim-Rock Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.
