We have one 11kv 315KW vertical motor installed in our power plant, few days back one coil of A-phase got exposed due to over heating and motor got tripped. We have by-passed that particular coil and tested the motor for two hours, other than phase currents all parameters were normal. Before fault current on all phases was 16 Amps and after coil by-pass currents were 17amps, 15amps and 14amps respectively.
Could anyone please guide me in taking this motor into service with reference to some standard?
