I am trying to find the location of where my great uncle prospected for gold .. He states in his letter, Feb 21, 1851 ,"We came to Stockton and then we took it a foot to this place (Chinese Diggins) distance 90 miles after building us a house. Tell Caroline that I can not comply with her request of attending church for there is nne nearer than Stockton which is 90 miles" Appreciatively ... Joe DeFalco
