Here in Bangkok AM/PM is becoming fasionable.
And messing up peoples timing!
Officially Thailand uses the 24 hour system. But you see signs on restaurants catering tourists with signs like:
Open: 10.00 AM - 10.00 PM. How chic!
Total nonsense! It should be 10:00-22:00
But the locals think it is trendy and international to use the confusing and dated AM/PM system.
Case in point. My LG monitor lower right hand: 9:42
My NOKIA mobile/cell phone: 09:42
How many of you "AA" users know what AM/PM means - since you use it all the time! Please let me know.
