After the attack on Pearl Harbor Adm Yamamoto said

I am afraid we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.It was a prophetic statement which is as true today as it was then.Does any one see the present day of being a superpower as being a culmination of what he said?

Yamamoto, was referring to the USA.In war, as history tells us,when woken or late for wars, as is traditional for the USA, will first ask. Whats in it for us.? The only war the USA were on time for, was Vietnam, and were given a mother and father of a hiding.
