My father was a British soldier with the second SAS. This was a special forces unit. In 1944 he captured an American front line outpost of the fourth Armoured division near Haraucourt in Alsace Lorraine when he was breaking through the German lines. He led out with him four other british soldiers and a frenchman who was avoiding the gestapo. My father had been behind the lines for about two weeks on an SAS operation called Pistol in 1944. After surrendering to his two American captives he was interrogated by a Colonel Clarke of the fourth armoured division. I would like to know if it is possible to find out from the fourth armoured division what was said by my father during his friendly interrogation. My fathers name was John Alcock of 2 SAS. He had blown up a train on this mission and had to kill some Germans when he was cornered in a farmhouse. I already have his post operational report from the British side as this is no longer classied imformation. Hope someone can help me. Thank you. Graham John Alcock UK-live near York.
