Wondering if anyone out there could help me with trying to authenticate or find out more history about the heavy, 20 pound, ornate wrought iron sign that hung on the side of a building at one time. I purchased this at an estate sale today. It has now been painted and says "Thirlestane By the Sea". It is a heavy 36 in. long and 12 in. wide. Very ornate with black wrought iron, hand forged I believe. Very old. It is supposed to be from the Thirlestane castle.
