Back in the mid 'eighties, Brock Yates wrote a brilliant column in Car & Driver magazine. The article centered around several facts including, "We now own more horses than when we needed them" and "The last five volcanic eruptions of the 20th century have spewed more pollutants into the air than man has since he first learned to make fire."
It was, I believe, a brilliant piece of work and extremely timely now with all of the climate crazies running around predicting doomsday.
