A friend has a 175 with a 180 hp lycoming conversion , problem is he lost instruments, vacuum pump quit, someone swapped a used one in no log book entry does not want to be liable for used pump install, planing on installing another used pump , but will disconect all gauges and blow out lines and lightly clean gauge conections , question is there a filter and any other cautions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
