Eph 2:1-5, And you hath he quickened who were dead (carnal) in trespasses and sins; Wherein in times past ye walked according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience; Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others, but God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead (carnal in sins, hath quickened uf together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). In Rom 8:5-8, says that the carnal man is not subject to the law of God, neither can be. The carnal man cannot ask Jesus to come into his heart, accept him or even repent of his sins. We all were carnal and had no ability to come to God and he quickened us while we were still carnal. Rom 8:8, For by grace are ye saved through Jesus's faith; and not of ourselves; it is the gift of God (not an offering) Not of works (accepting) lest any man should boast saying I let God save me. God gets all the credit, praise, honour and glory for our eternal salvation and not boastful man.
