As I understand it the name 'Byberry' was chosen by the Walton brothers when they first settled in Philadelphia. According to Wikipedia 'They gave to it the name Byberry, in honor of their native town, near Bristol, in England'.
They are referring to the village of Bibury,Gloucestershire which is 30+ miles NE of Bristol. There are no instances of a Byberry (or variations of the name - except Bibury)in the UK Gazetteer. 30+ miles NE of Bibury is Oxhill - the actual birthplace of all four brothers. I can find no reference to Bibery in the UK Walton history at all.
Do I have the right information?
