India is the only country with largest population next to China. Some 10 years ago Idia was like 10 years ahead of China but after 10 years today India is like 10 years behind. If this phenomena continues as it looks like in all fronts.Can India catch up China?

To day India is far behind in every aspect to mention a few neuclear technology, Agriculture yield, Industry and trades including manufaturing various items. Take for example transport and communication. China is much ahead of building roads and communications high speed trains, 3g even 4 g telecommunication etc.

What is the catch? Corruption due to non-accountability and non-stringent appropriate action against corruption in all levels - burocrates and politicians as well.

The root cause! Politics?

Why not? Nothing is impossible. The remedy is to enact a law and impose stringent punishment, there should not be legal recourse if cought on video for any type of corruption. this should apply to all from pillar to post, all burocrates, politicians.
India has talent and resources but lacking in determinaton.
in fact india can leave China far behind even from this stage.

India can't reach China and it can't be a developed country because reason one population and space and resources to accommodate that many people and reason two corruption reason three the way the people work and think

Hey i can't agree with you completely. the way china is developing is like fired rocket which means they have very like loose strategy. they have only 1 thing in their mind to become world super power asap.but India is not like that they have a different way "SLOW & STEADY".soon it will be understand.

1- The problems related to population & space and all.

U know 1 thing the main problem facing by the developed nations is lack human power or human resource. we having more than enough which will soon become come under control. so the when the population is under control the space will get as well as the resource.

2- problems related to corruption.

YEA to an extend its true. but it doesn't mean that it will be like that always.a new generation is coming. more educated more promising

3-the way people work & thinking.

SEE now a days a lot have been changed. people are more aware of their work their potential as well as their thinking just compare people who used to work couple of decades ago & now a days working people. before their working place is more like a hectic place to earn for a living. but things changed a lot they started to enjoying their work rather than struggling for a living.
