Avoiding Suboxone Precipitated Withdrawal

Precipitated withdrawal can be pretty bad, and possibly dangerous.

You need to restrict intake of opiates for a period of time before taking Suboxone, basically you should be in some form of withdrawal (if addicted) or the opiate should be mostly out of your system. If you are still high on opiates than do not do Suboxone yet.

If you are unsure if the opiates are still in your system you can use a half-life blood plasma elimination charting tool and put in the half-life hours of the drug and doses you took, then graph out the elimination of the drug. Here is the drug half life elimination taper planning tool I use.
