If anyone is reading this, I would like to say that it is a great shame that the world's largest estuary is also the site of the world's largest slaughter of marine mammals in the world!!! Also, I wonder if the fishermen and the people running the Fisheries Departmentin Cancada take into account that the waters in this region have been suffering not only from ice loss but from hypoxia!!!! This would certainly be effecting ALL living creatures in these waters. For these people to "blame" the seals on the depletion of cod stocks is obsurd!! These waters are suffering from climate change and overfishing!!
It's time Canada becomes "civilized" and FINALLY listens to the millions of people protesting,and petitioning this atrocious "hunt"!! How many bans have to be placed before Canada realizes that this is unacceptable in the 21st century!!!
