I just finsihed the book by Bondi Bill. He was convinced that alan Bassett was guilty of this crime. After reading between the lines I think that Bill and Cecil were mates going way back. I think that Cec was probably losing it abit at the end. My understanding is that Alan threatened to sue Cec if he published his book naming Alan as suspect one. If you read the suspect list and the interviews with witnesses the finger starts pointing at wilder. Chris was living in Cronulla at the time. He was by his own admission an avid surfer. The wanda beach surf club was walking distance from the murder scene. Chris would have been 21 at the time. Whne you look at the two wierdest suspects, one the man in the tin mask, and the man seen walking away from the scene by Miss schmidts seven year old brother of a guy with long dark hair over 16 years old one has to think if maybe wilder did these crimes.Im trying to soil the memory of Cecil Johnson or Bondi Bill. From what ive read these guys solved some big crimes in their day. But from my research on Wilder I can see where law enforcement really didnt understand the serial killer at that time. I would like to see these crimes reopend with dna testing. The F.B I. has wilders dna. They kept hair, fingernail and tissue samples. With the advances in old dna sequencing maybe we can close some cases. I am writing a book on wilder. My premise id that he was not a spree killer and quite the opposite may have been one of the most prolific serial killers of the 20th century. My other goal is to attempt to locate the victims Rosario Gonzales and beth kenyon in Miami. Its time these girls came home. I look forward to hearing from anyone who has info or an opinion on Chris wilder.

I read the book too and i too have done a bit of researching on this matter. Chris Wilder i beleive to be most probably responsible for this murder of the WANDA BEACH girls. Do you know what he did for a living at all? also about the two suspects spotted on the day of the murders the one that says the man in the tin mask. This is so strange as i went to one of the girls graves in Liverpool a few months back, i'm a bit of a clairvoyant in my own way but the strange thing was after having left the grave and asking who did this horrible murder i was on my way out into the street and driving past the grave yard when a car swung out in front of me, actually a white van and i nearly collided with it, when i looked at the number plate of this van , it said TINMAN. I Coudln't beleive it. Don't know if you beleive in this stuff but when you say above about Wilder and the tin man seen, does it have a connection at all, i don't know if it was Wilder or if the person responsible worked at the local mining at Kurnell as later on the two German woman down in Wollongong were murdered and the steel works was close by,so i am thinking that they wear tin masks or iron masks . What do you reckon Anyway if you know where i can read some more on Chris Wilder that would be great. Cheers

If the FBI has Wilder's DNA it should be a simple matter to establish whether he was involved in the Wanda Beach murders as semen was discovered on the victims and this would presumably belong to the killer even though the hymens of both victims were intact. The available evidence points to Wilder and it might be of some comfort to the siblings of the victims to finally be able to lay this tragic case to rest.
