Ryan Caybyab's comments on Charice Pempengco was totally unprofessional, a counter effort to promotional media pre concert campaigns and totally a reflection of some perverted idea of supporting a headliner of a major event he is invovled in. What the hell was he trying to do?
It shows that Mr. Cayabyab is over the hill and has just thrown away all respect for everything he has accomplished. His attitude was clearly a chip on the shoulder, and makes people think he's so jealous that he had no part whatsoever in discovering or developing this young and phenomenal talent in the person of Charice Pempengco.
All his comments were derrogatory to say the least and very insulting to one who has achieved more than any Filipino artist has in the entertainment insdustry., And Mr. Cayabyab's comments sound like nothing more than an exhaust of his own frustration in not having anything or participation in contributing to this phenom's stardom. It is such a sad situation and a scary one at that for athe musical director to release such comments about Charice right before their concert. What are you trying to do Mr. Cayabyab? Creat an escape or excuse if ever the concert fails.
The whole world knows that you have done nothing or contributed to Charice's success. It would have been nobler if you said nothing and just did your best to make the concert a great one. You would have gotten as much recognition from Charice's fan base and your piggy back ride on her name would have been worth it and done your "over the hill" career some good, definitely. It would have blown a fresh breath of life into that dead career of yours.
Think about what you saiod in that interview of yours again and remember, all of Charice's fans both in the Philippines and abroad are watching and no matter what happens, Charice cannot go wrong and if drit hits the fan and spreads all over the walls, it'll have your color alone. I'm sorry to have to say these things to a person I used to respect a lot in the Philippine music and entertainment industry.
