I have tried to perform a click reactions between 4-azidoaniline and 4-ethyne aniline according to the published click chemistry conditions (CuSO4, ascorbic acid, 1:1 Butanol/water) the reaction is so slow, and the yields are really not that good, the major problem is in monitoring of the reaction mixture, because after leaving the mixture for 2 day , there is some alkynes and azides in there.

I am wondering if anyone tried to react such reactants in a different way, and if there is a qualitative test for identification of triazoles.
