Had a problem recently with my 06 S-Type.
Momma complained that the AC was not working. Upon inspection found that there was cold air on the rt. side and hot air on the left side of the cabin. After some research I have discovered that this is a "common" sic. inevitable problem with the S-Type. The DHCV (dual heat control valve) has 2 solenoids that open and close heat to the passenger and driver sides of the car. This valve is controled by the Climate Control Module. This valve WILL eventually leak and short out the solenoid power. This results in an over current condition and will burn out the Climate Control Module. The repair is EXPENSIVE. 350$ for the valve plus 350$ labor. The Module runs about 1600.00$ plus installation.Save some money and have the DHCV checked at least once a year. ALL qualifierd Jag. mech's know about this problem. If you see a small water leak on the floor in the mornings. IT IS TIME TO PANIC.
