Considering the above scenerio, that Mujib surrendered to the Pakistan army and was in Pakistan during the liberation war period, and his killing of the infant democracy in Bangladesh by establishing BKSAL he lost his chance to the title. Then, if the title of father of the nation is so necessary, can we choose between Bhasani and Bhuto as father of the nation? For obvious reasons we can not accept Bhutto nor Bangabandu. My pick is Bhasani. What about yours?
It is true, those who were immensely benefited from Bangabandu’s bhai culture (favouritism) of 1971-75 will never forget him as their father and will distort history but what about the historians of Bangladesh?
