Does anyone have any current info. about the Tyree Tavern sometimes called the Halfway House? I seen this house when i was 12 years old (1970). It was very impressive with thick stone walls exposed, I rode by the house again in the 1980s and the beautiful stone was covered up. The house had lost a lot of character. I have lived in Alabama since 1984 and still i think about that house. I hope one day the Historical Society can make the home look original again. please respond with any info. about this home.
