Composed in 1863, this Grand Quintette for piano and string quartet has been rediscovered lately and added to the chamber music repertoire by a french violinist. In two movements, a first energic one and a very intimate and colored second one, this piece is likely to enter rapidly into the standard chamber music repertoire.
