The total number of different images that can be displayed on a computer screen of say 32 bits per pixel for good color and with a screen having say 1000000000 pixels is 32^1000000000. The Mandelbrot set of different images is a subset of this set. What is infinite about the Mandelbrot set is that the sequences of zoom images are infinite and non repeating. Sort of like the sequence of digits in pie.
