I am here to discuss Gary Cooper and I seem to be all alone. Why on God's green earth is there no discussion going on here about the man who, quite apart from my Dad, his six brothers and my grandfather, has provided all of us with a reasonable, believeable and recognizable role model of how a man should step out into the world and live his life. He never played the part of a villain, a loser or person of low moral character. His own life was his own business and that of his family, but the parts he played were like an instruction manual of how a real man should stand to his feet, look life in the eye and then go do whatever it is that a man's gotta' do (to paraphrase another of my idols.
