I just had a gif sent to me of a letter written by my husband's youngest aunt, since deceased, to a relative in Sweden. In this letter, she mentions she has finally found her father's brother. I understand he went by the name of John Gelan, whereas we go by the name of Gelean. The original was Gehlin. Full name, Johan (John) Thure Gelan. She says that he has "went to visit some friends who have moved here two years ago ... mentioned his neighbour ... lived next to for 25 years, John Gelan". She wrote him a letter and indeed it was the long lost brother, found shortly after her father's death. Now she has passed away and there is no knowledge of his family or what happened to them. Her letter said he lived in (what looks like) Stoughton. I would very much like to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of his family. He was born in 1874 in Sweden, so it's probable that only grandchildren remain.
