Hi, the following are the possibilities in your case.
a) The actual torque to move the motor with the cabin is not generated or the cabin and counter weight is not correctly balanced then there is a possibility to move in the easiest direction (usually upwards) as the cabin is free when you are taking in inspection mode.
b) check the connection shorting in the inspection box or in the controller end.

When you press either buttons the brake open you have no power to the motor, check the inverter and contactors
