Why is the united states in haiti helping them when we can't even help ourselves out of debt? is it just a good deed we are doing are we expecting something in return?

Exactally. So i wornder why the government hasn't seen that yet. We were talking in class... One Question was brought about. The detainees from guantanamo bay were released back to thier countries. The question was, Soo... Why were they shooting at us when we were trying to drop the prisoners off? It makes absolutely no sense at all.
