I read a very good article re the harvesting of silver from old X-rays with heated (97'C) 10% oxalic acid with a good yield.
As the product is silver particles, it sounds simple to recover. The problem is that the silver particles is very tiny (1 to 10ug) and I am not sure if I will be able to filter it out. Help?
What if I heat the oxalic acid with the silver to more than 198% - the acid will evalorate and I will have the silver?
I do not do this for money, I do it for fun.
Thanks
