Hello Friends: Restoring my 73 Beetle I came across the matter of the "evaporative emissions control" in the VW service manual. This item gets no attention that I can see in the literature or the three major mail order catalogs.
However, the manual speaks of replacing the charcoal filter cannister at 30,000 mi. How is it that nobody seemingly pays attention to this item? Is it important to replace it? How would I get a replacement? What can you tell me about this emissions control? Jermac
