Hi, I wonder if anyone can help?

My Great Uncle was Robert Duxbury, from Beeston, Leeds, UK and was a Holy Ghost Father. He was in France during the 2nd World War and I have it on good authority that they trekked across France to avoid the Germans.

He was also in Sierra Leone. Unfortunately that is all I know. I just wondered if anyone could shed any light on the work he was doing or if anybody knew him.
